Extend Product Protection Plan – What’s CoveredUpdated 2 months ago

This article explains exactly what the Extend Product Protection Plan covers and what it does not cover. It’s designed to eliminate confusion and give customers clear expectations.

What’s Covered

The Extend Product Protection Plan covers accidental damage to your scooter or bike purchased from VoroMotors. Examples include:

  • Accidental falls or drops that damage your scooter or bike.

  • Accidental damage to major components, including:

    • Battery

    • Motor

    • Controllers

    • Frame

  • Repairs or replacement — depending on the extent of the damage, Extend may cover the cost of repair or issue credit for a full replacement.

  • Upgrading to a new vehicle — if something goes wrong with your bike or scooter during the coverage period, you can file a claim and use the credit toward a new vehicle at VoroMotors.

    • This option is exclusive to VoroMotors because we negotiated a higher coverage level with Extend, which means we pay more to Extend every plan purchased through Voro. There are many documented cases reported online where customers bought Extend from other companies such as Minimotorsusa and said that their extend is cheaper, not knowing there are tiny details that make a lot of difference between the Extend plan that is offered through us versus others. Our initial web dev team was also surprised why others are cheaper, so we called up Extend and received clarification that when we negotiated our contract with Extend, we have require them to provide our riders the fullest extent of coverage.

    • Many merchants only cover repairs; Voro customers can use credit to upgrade thanks to our extended plan.

What’s Not Covered

  • Vehicle collisions – If your scooter or bike is hit by a car or involved in a traffic accident, that is an insurance matter, not an Extend claim. However, if you want us to help, you got to tell us in advance. We also recommend claiming from the city if there are potholes related accidents.

  • Routine maintenance items and consumables – These are considered wear-and-tear parts and are not covered under Extend:

    • Tires

    • Brake pads

    • Brake levers

    • Brake calipers

    • Brake fluid

    • Any other consumable or maintenance-only part

Filing a Claim

  • Claims are handled by Extend, not VoroMotors. Extend makes all final decisions on claims.

  • Encourage customers to ask a Voro team member to help file a claim on their behalf — we’re happy to assist.

  • Always document damage with photos or videos when submitting a claim.

Key Notes for Support Team

  • Emphasize and be clear about accidental damage coverage (falls, drops, internal component failures).

  • Be upfront and transparent about not covering maintenance or collision damage, you can always extend help to our riders but never promise something that is out of our control.
