Quick Fixes for “Sleeping” Batteries and Chargers
The Issue
You may notice:
An empty or blinking battery icon on the display
Scooter won’t turn on
Charger light stays green when plugged in
⚠️ No need to exchange the battery immediately — this is usually a “sleeping” battery or charger.
Why It Happens
The battery sometimes enters sleep mode to protect its cells.
Chargers can also “sleep” and may need to be reset before charging properly.
Step-by-Step Solutions
1️⃣ Quick Scooter Troubleshooting
Check handlebar wiring – ensure all connectors are fully plugged in.
Check battery connector – make sure the battery is properly connected to the scooter.
Turn on the scooter – if it powers on, you’re done!
If it still won’t turn on:
Disconnect the battery.
Press the button next to the display under the battery.
If no percentage shows, charge the battery while disconnected from the scooter. This usually wakes it up.
2️⃣ Charger Reset
Unplug the charger from the outlet after each use.
Wait a few seconds, then plug the charger back into the outlet before connecting it to the scooter.
If the charger still does not work:
Remove the battery from the scooter.
Plug the charger into the battery first, then into the outlet.
If still not charging, unplug and wait for the charger light to turn off before trying again.
⚠️ When to Replace the Charger
If the charger light doesn’t turn on at all after following the above steps, it is likely faulty.
Record the serial numbers of the scooter and charger, and submit a warranty claim.
