Safety note: When unplugging/plugging battery wires, sparks may occur—handle with care.
How to Replace the Controller
Access the Controller
Remove the top deck by peeling back the deck mat and unscrewing the necessary screws.
Carefully lift the deck to reveal the battery and controllers.
Remove Controller
Take pictures of all connections before unplugging.
Unscrew controllers from the deck (adhesive at the bottom may require extra force).
Carefully disconnect wiring, referencing the wiring diagram to avoid mistakes.
Install New Controller
Connect the replacement controller using your photos and wiring diagram as guidance.
Test functionality before fully reassembling.
Secure controller with screws and neatly compress wiring before reinstalling the deck.
Common Error Codes & Issues
TFT Controller Error (Error Code 6)
Indicates a likely controller fault.
Nine times out of ten, the controller must be replaced.
Sometimes caused by:
Loose or damaged connections
Water damage
Motor or step-down issues
If the error persists after controller replacement, verify all connections before sending a second replacement.
Damaged / Burned Wires
Stop riding immediately.
Take photos for warranty assessment.
Damaged wires on controllers require full replacement—individual wires are not serviceable.
Scooter Not Moving
Check that “PAS / Kick Start” is not enabled.
If enabled, change P5 to throttle start (or turn off in TFT advanced settings).
Check motor resistance:
Heavy resistance → motor may need replacement
Little/no resistance → controller may be faulty
If unsure, customer can send a video for evaluation.
Unplugged Wires
Ask for pictures.
Compare to wiring diagram.
Only reconnect wires outside of diagram if safe.
Scooter Turns Off When Operating Headlights
Get photo/video of the LCD/TFT showing the issue.
Likely cause: PCB/Stepdown or controller connection.
Inspect for damaged wires; may require controller replacement.
Scooter Does Not Reach Top Speed
Gather customer info: weight, terrain, battery level.
Recommended PSI:
MPSE / Mantis King / Wolf X Pro / Warrior X GT: 45 PSI
WW / WK / WWGT / WKGT: 55 PSI
Ensure battery fully charged.
Verify scooter can reach top speed without rider (on stool/chair test).
Damaged Pins
Ask for photos for verification.
Pin replacement steps:
Cut off damaged pin.
Strip wire to expose copper.
Crimp new pin onto wire.
Test connection before final assembly.
Hill Climb Issues
Based on 150 lb rider; +10 lb → ~1° decrease in hill climb.
Overheating / shutoff may occur if overloaded; may affect controller/motor.
Hall Sensors
Measure motor speed and angle using Hall Effect.
Required for sinewave controllers.
Speed Limitations
Adjust P8 setting or speed limiter wires.
TFT: Advanced settings → speed limitation % (default 100%).
Water Damage
Inspect wires/pins for corrosion.
Send photos for verification.
Controller may still function but could fail over time.
