How to Use a Multimeter to Check Your BatteryUpdated a month ago
A multimeter is a handy tool for checking your scooter’s battery health. Don’t worry if you’ve never used one before—this guide will walk you through the basics.
👉 Video Tutorial: Watch here
Step 1: Set Your Multimeter
Turn the dial on your multimeter to the voltmeter (V) setting.
Make sure it’s set to measure DC voltage (often marked as “V⎓” instead of “V~” which is AC).
Step 2: Connect the Probes
Touch the red probe to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
Touch the black probe to the negative (–) terminal of the battery.
Step 3: Read the Voltage
The screen should now display your battery’s voltage.
If the number shows as negative, don’t worry—it just means the probes were reversed. Either swap them or ignore the minus sign.
✅ That’s it! You’ve successfully measured your battery’s voltage.
