EMOVE Touring: Wiring, Voltmeter, LCD, Lights & Charging GuideUpdated a month ago

🔌 Main Connector

The main connector is a bundle of wires that links your controller to the LCD, voltmeter, brake lever, horn/light buttons, and PCB.

  • What it looks like:

    • 2-pin (brake lever)

    • 6-pin (LCD + throttle)

    • 5-pin (horn/light buttons)

  • If the pins are bent or missing, your LCD, lights, or brakes may stop working.

Note: Replacing this part is a difficult repair. It requires unplugging the battery and pulling the wire harness through the scooter’s stem. We recommend professional help unless you’re confident with wiring.

🔑 Voltmeter (Key Ignition)

Your voltmeter does two things:

  1. Acts as the on/off switch for the scooter.

  2. Shows your battery’s exact voltage. (More accurate than the LCD bars.)

  • Full Battery: 53.9 – 54.6V

  • Low Battery: 39 – 41.5V

Troubleshooting:

  • Scooter turns on, but voltmeter doesn’t → Key ignition may be damaged.

  • Voltmeter works but counts down until shutoff → Likely a battery issue.

  • LCD shows different battery than voltmeter → Trust the voltmeter reading.

📟 LCD & Throttles

The LCD + throttle assembly is what makes the scooter “go.” There are 3 types of throttles for the Touring:

  • Finger throttle

  • Thumb throttle

  • Twist throttle

👉 Replacements: Finger | Thumb | Twist

Troubleshooting:

  • LCD error codes can mean issues with brakes, motor, controller, or LCD itself.

  • P-Settings let you customize performance (speed, cruise control, acceleration).

💡 Lights, Horn & Buttons

  • Headlight = also your horn speaker.

  • Deck lights = side panels with front/rear glow.

  • Rear fender = brake light.

  • Horn/Light button = toggles lights + horn.

Troubleshooting:

  • If nothing works → check plug-and-play connections & PCB.

  • If just the horn or light fails → usually fixed by replacing that part.

🔋 Charger & Charging Port

  • Charger: 48V 2A (8–12 hrs for full charge).

  • Always plug charger to wall first, then scooter.

Troubleshooting:

  • Charger stays green on low battery → Could be bad charger, charging port, or battery.

  • Port feels loose → Hex nut may need tightening.

Tip: If your scooter isn’t powering on, check these in order:

  1. Voltmeter (key switch + voltage reading)

  2. Main connector pins

  3. LCD connection

  4. Battery & charger
