EMOVE Touring – Parts & Functionality GuideUpdated a month ago
General Overview
For simplicity, the Touring can be broken down into six main areas:
Handlebars & T-Bar
Stem
Folding Mechanism
Deck
Front Wheel & Suspension
Rear Wheel & Suspension
We’ll also touch on some smaller parts like the kickstand and clamps.
Handlebars & T-Bar
The Touring’s handlebars connect to the scooter through a T-bar. There are two versions of this bar:
Square T-Bar – Found on older Touring models (shorter, 15.5 inches).
Round T-Bar – Standard on current models (longer, 16.5 inches). The round design allows riders to mount accessories more easily.
The handlebars themselves may vary slightly (different screws or washers), but they function the same way. Replacement handlebar attachments can be found here: Handlebar Folding Attachment.
Stem
The stem houses wiring and connects the folding mechanism to the T-bar. It’s available in black, orange, and white standard finishes. Other colors may exist but are special order only.
Folding Mechanism
The Touring’s folding mechanism has been improved over time for better durability.
Older models used screws that fastened directly into the deck.
Newer models use screws that mount from inside the deck with nuts on top for extra security.
If you hear squeaking from the folding mechanism, apply a small amount of lithium grease or WD-40 White to the moving parts. Lubricate sparingly, test, and reapply only as needed.
Deck
The deck is where you stand and also houses the Touring’s battery, controller, and wiring. Externally, it includes the deck frame, deck cover, grip tape, and side panels.
Front Wheel & Suspension
The Touring uses an 8-inch front wheel with dual spring suspension for comfort. Depending on your scooter, it may have come with either:
Tubed Tire Wheel – Uses an inner tube and 90° valve.
Tubeless Tire Wheel – Uses a Cruiser-style air valve and slightly different hub.
Both use the same bearings (30mm outer / 10mm inner diameter).
If squeaking is heard from the front suspension, apply lithium grease or WD-40 White to the suspension piston.
Rear Wheel & Suspension
The rear wheel houses the Touring’s motor. Externally, you’ll only deal with the:
Tire
Motor nuts
Motor hook spacers
Other details are covered in the EMOVE Touring Motor Breakdown.
Like the front, the rear also uses dual spring suspension. Squeaks can be fixed the same way—light lubrication on the suspension joints.
Miscellaneous Parts
Kickstand – Mounted on the rear-right underside of the deck. Kickstand
Stem Locking Clamp – Adjusts the T-bar height. Stem Locking Clamp
Rear Brace – Connects the rear wheel and suspension to the deck.
Final Notes
The EMOVE Touring is designed to be durable, modular, and easy to maintain. Since the scooter has gone through design updates over time, your Touring may have slightly different parts than pictured here. When replacing parts, always double-check that you’re ordering the right version for your scooter.
